i believe is just an audio problem with the vid because tuck doesnt really use effects. but the effect you would be looking for is called tremolo.

Just saw Tuck and Patti play this in concert two weeks ago. They are amazing, and kind and sweet--they stayed long after the concert was over to talk to everyone and sign CDs.
