didn't say that. Where did I say that christians were limited to only america? I said that our nation is the MOST blessed nation in the WORLD. You cannot compare our economy today to what was in Pauls time, that's just nonsense. Times were hard even for our own founders when America was formed but our country, as well as the world grew economically to what it is today. Actually the economy in China is SECOND to america's so there are christians prospering in china today.

I just wanted to point out, since this is an old argument. China (have you ever been to China?) is a communist controlled nation. You ain't in China. God has blessed america more than any other nation since israel of old. So don't blame the U.S. or the people that live in the U.S. for it's blessed status. We have a mickidees practically on every street corner, food banks, welfare systems. Did you know Israel have a welfare system in place that God ordained? Amazing.

Hey Chad,What are the Christians in China doing wrong? Better yet, what about the early church. They were poor and getting slaughtered. During the inquisition the Catholic church slaughtered millions of Christians. Were those Christians not blessed? They must not have been based on your comments.

The only law I was referring to was the law of blessings and cursings. It's actually a rule of thumb. If we deny God/Christ and turn our backs on him, expect a curse on our house, if we go into idolatry, expect a curse on our soul. But if we follow Christ and wha the did for us, he will meet everyone of our needs. But, do we forsake the law? God forbid. Christ fullfilled the law, he didn't abolish it. As for kids being stoned. I know a few that need a good stoning. LOL!!

I agree with you. I think when we take our eyes off of Christ on only focus on signs and wonders and blessings, we lose sight of WHO gives us those things. My only argument is that God wants us to be blessed, sure, will there be bad times, absolutely, but even in tribulation and persecution we look to Christ for our salvation. I just frustrated when I hear christians say they like to be poor and broke. I hear that a lot these days. It's like they relish in their sufferings.

And lastly brother, I'm not a big fan of the worm theology. I don't think we should be broke and sick and moping around all the time. We are more than conqueors in Christ Jesus, we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength, we are sons and daughters of the most high. But let's not allow ourselves to lose sight of what's really important. The good news is that HE and HE alone is enough!! Prosperity preachers never seem to read the NT and really look at the lives of Jesus or Paul.

It seems that we really don't value the TRUE blessings that God has given us and want to justify our materialism. Brother, I don't have a problem with Christians that have money and use it to bless others. But I have a problem with people thinking they can use God like a genie provided they rub him the right way with obedience. He can see our hearts. And according to Psalm 37:4 Delighting yourself in the Lord, and the Lord alone will give you the desires of your heart!!

I am certainly wanting each and any blessing that God wants to give me. I have read Dueteronomy. All the laws? Are you kidding me? There's laws regarding diet that I'm sure you don't keep, and there's laws regarding what women should do when they have their period. Children were to be stoned for talking back to their parents. You sure you're ready to argue the entire Mosaic Law as the way we are blessed? Ephesians says that we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies.
