Photoshop=Gimp <--grate programInkscape=Corel no point compering PS and inkscape but what do I know...Nice video but when I see it it seems that it is similar to MS paint. Show one of things u made using it, show its potential. Open Source programs r really grate.

I just downloaded inkscape and whenever I try to use one of the raster options under the effects menu it doesn't work.How do I fix this?

You're wrong about open source, it is not free as in free beer.

Firefox supports SVG. You can ask visitors to download the Adobe SVG viewer plugin, too

Ahh man that really blows, I really like Inkscape... I find GIMP's userinterface to have a big learning curve. Know any good tutorials for GIMP. I know they're very rare online. Thanks!

.svg can be used on websites, but it requires plugins and has poor browser support. To export to an image file, use "Export to Bitmap" under the "file" menu. For images used for websites, I'd recommend using .png To do that, just change the file extension to .png.

Very informative at the beginning... thanks! Question: Can you use a .svg file on websites? If you can't what's the way to export the image to a usable format?
