i love AMD but my E8500 can squash this thing. i can run 5 1080i movies on vlc at once with 33% cpu usage... i dont know wtf processor they used in this demo but it must be a celeron.

wait why are they comparing the New 2008 w/e cpu x3 to a g35 chipset. when the g35 is way outdated. P45? Hey you guys know why they make the X3, its actually a quad core but when they made it one of the cores was deffective. Instead of throwing it away, they cant spare a nickel poor bastards.

From my personal experiences AMD's notebook ,low end, and mid range chips seem faster then Intel's but Intel's Xeons are a little faster then AMD's top end.

how do i know that you are not doing an processor intensive task behind that movie on the intel machine

AMD is build on True Native Quad-Core. Intel is using "Duct Tapes" Quad-core(2xDualCore). You should do a benchmark test between "Native Core" and "Duct Tape core"In Intel Core i7, they somehow copy AMD's technology by adding Inter-graded Memory Controller(Intel Quick Patch);which AMD have it since year 2003 and use AMD Native QuadCore design. Intel also add-in the HyperThreading thing to have more threader.
