PHP Tutorial: Installation and The Basics
To get php and apache installed use xampp.xampp is free and contains php / apache (around 33mb)1. Download and Install XAMPP from here: http://www.apachefriends.org/e... on windows go to C:\xamppit should have a folder called htdocs. If you put a file called foo.htmlinto the htdocs folder you should be able to access it by going to http://localhost/foo.html or /foo.php.There's also something called WAMP http://www.wampserver.com/en/T... a lot of php tutorials out there just search google http://www.google.com/search?h... tutorials here http://youtube.jimmyr.com/More... Hi, thanks for brill vid, can you help me, I have downloaded XAMPP and produced a simple 'hello world' webpage and saved it as hello.php On the php site it says to save it in the servers root directory document_root, but I cant find this. How do I get to be able to view this php webpage ??? thanks
