Gene Kelly and Olivia Newton-John in a Tap-Dancing scene taken from the motion picture Xanadu (1980).Danny McGuire (Gene Kelly) reminds Kira (Olivia Newton-John), who enchanted him back in the 40's and they dance and sing together in the Xanadu's all best scene.Like ever, Olivia is so beautiful and atractive and gets to tap-dance with the legendary Gene Kelly, wearing a World War II WAC uniform, and she looks pretty convincing... Doesn't she?The guy who plays the clarinet on the 40's big band - as the young Danny - is a dancer named Matt Lattanzi who Olivia has just knew, but that would be her husband in a near future.

Olivia Newton-John, who was not a trained dancer, does a very admirable job here--and Gene Kelly, who knew how to make his dance partners look good, complements her beautifully. It's a much more impressive routine than I had remembered. (I saw the film when it first came out, lo those many years ago!)
