Hey there, I saw your posting and had to reply. I read about a PhD candidate out in Cali (probably Berkeley or something) who did her thesis on how we are only interested in a type of music up to a certain point in our lives. In other words- we don't accept a different type of music so easily after a certain age. We want to go back to what we know. I wish I had done a PhD in that! You were absolutely on target - musical tastes are tied up to our brain development.
